Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Barkley Suites collects through barkleysuites.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have about it.
Effective September 10, 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers barkleysuites.com, including our contact form and our booking request form. It does not cover information you give us in person, over the phone, or on paperwork completed at our facility, though we handle that information with the same care.
By using this website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Information You Provide
We only collect information you choose to give us, and only through these two forms:
- Contact form. Your email address, an optional phone number, the topic you select, and your message.
- Booking requests. Your name, email address, optional phone number, whether you are a new or returning client, the service you are requesting, your requested check-in and check-out dates, any notes you add, and the name and breed of each pet on the request.
We do not ask for payment card details anywhere on this site, and there is nowhere on it to enter them. Invoicing and payment are arranged with you directly.
3. Information Collected Automatically
- IP address. When you submit the contact or booking form, we process your IP address to protect our forms from spam and automated abuse. It is held only for a short time, is not stored alongside your submission, and is never used to build a profile of you or to track you between visits.
- Traffic measurement. We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics to count page views and understand which pages are popular. It does not follow you across other websites.
- Performance data. We collect anonymous page-loading and responsiveness metrics so we can find and fix slow pages.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, which may include IP addresses and browser information, for security and troubleshooting.
5. How We Use Information
- To respond to your questions and messages.
- To review, confirm, and schedule boarding and daycare requests.
- To care for your pet according to the details you have given us.
- To keep a record of your stays so we can serve you better next time.
- To protect the site from spam, abuse, and fraud.
- To fix problems and improve how the site works.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.
7. Service Providers
We rely on a small number of outside companies to run this site. We describe them by the role they play rather than by name, and each one may handle your information only as described here:
- Website hosting
- Serves this website to your browser, keeps standard server logs, and provides the aggregated traffic and performance measurement described above.
- Database hosting
- Stores the contact messages and booking requests you send us.
- Spam and abuse prevention
- Helps us detect and block automated abuse of our forms, and briefly holds the IP address used for that check.
- Email delivery
- Delivers the notification emails that let our staff see and respond to your form submissions.
Each of them handles information only on our behalf, and none of them is permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
8. How Long We Keep Information
We keep contact messages and booking requests for as long as needed to run our business and to keep an accurate history of your pet's stays — a returning client's records help us provide better care.
As a boarding kennel licensed under the Kansas Pet Animal Act, we are also required to keep certain records about the animals in our care — such as each pet's description and vaccination information, and its owner's name and address — for the current license year and the two years before it.
The abuse-prevention records described above are short-lived and expire automatically. When we no longer need information, we delete it or securely destroy it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
9. Security
We take security seriously. The site is served over HTTPS and is sent with a strict Content Security Policy and related protective headers. Connections to our database are encrypted in transit, form submissions are validated on our servers and protected against automated abuse, and access to client records is limited to staff who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to correct problems promptly if they arise.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Just email us and we will take care of it. If the law requires us to keep a particular record (see How Long We Keep Information), we will delete everything else and tell you what we have to keep and why.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, including the right to know what information we collect and the right to opt out of its sale — which is straightforward here, because we do not sell it. To make any request, email us at privacy@barkleysuites.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
11. Children’s Privacy
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to Other Sites
Our site links out to our social media pages. Once you follow a link, that company's privacy policy applies — not this one. We are not responsible for how other sites handle your information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use barkleysuites.com after an update means you accept the revised policy.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Kansas.
